HP PageWide Business Printers Now Thats Fast!

HP PageWide Business Printers Now Thats Fast! Sometimes, you just need your stuff printed right now.  But thats  usually when the humming and churning of your printer seems to go on forever as you wait.  We solved the problem years ago by switching to a laser printer.  Now, HP is upping the game with a new line of  HP Business Printers  that are sure to dazzle you.  These HP PageWide Business Printers are definitely not your fathers old dot matrix! They decided to do a bit of a speed test, inspired by the 80s hit show The Generation Game. The printer transformed into the famous conveyor belt as the writers tried to remember as many pages of printed prizes as possible within one minute with a snazzy star prize of a laptop up for grabs. Hows your memory compared to these top bloggers in a time-pressure prize grab? Hmmm.  Maybe its time for a new printer!

Resume Tip Writing - 4 Steps to Help You Land the Job

Resume Tip Writing - 4 Steps to Help You Land the JobWhen applying for a job, most job applicants try to write a good resume. Unfortunately, most of them do not write a resume tip that will actually help them land the job. Here are some tips to help you write a more effective resume. The first tip is to not use too many bullet points in your resume. This is a common mistake made by a lot of job seekers. They just put a bunch of bullet points and hope that the human resource officer reads them and likes them. What you should do instead is put a concise statement at the end of each bullet points. Try to relate it to something you have already done in your career. If you have not been involved in something before, tell the human resource officer about your experience in that area.Sometimes you will also find that bullet points do not make sense if you try to organize them in an organized way. That is why you need to think of the bigger picture. Your resume tip writing must not be only abo ut what you did in your last job but also what you can do for a company in the future. Also, you should avoid putting too much information in your job description. A job description is only a set of instructions for a company. Put information about what you can do for the company in your resume tip writing.Next, you need to learn how to break up your resume tip writing into smaller sections. You should list your skills, your career goals, and how you fit in with the company. Do not forget to talk about your past experience as well.Lastly, when writing your resume tip, you need to use the common wordings used in your work environment. That is why you shouldnot write your resume tip using a formal format. This is why you should ask your friends or even your co-workers for information about your work.Remember that resume tip writing is all about communicating to the potential employer that you are someone who will fit in with the company. Your resume tip writing should not just contain your skills and achievements. It should also include your work experiences.

Are These Myths Holding You Back from Business

Are These Myths Holding You Back from Business How to Overcome Common Mental Hurdles for Budding Entrepreneurs Norma  Forastiere  is a successful entrepreneur, mentor, natural therapist,  and  certified Joy of Business  facilitator. Yet she knows well the self-doubts and uncertainty that can hold you back.     When Forastiere launched her first business  â€" a  translation services company â€" she was a very busy, very shy  mother who was suffering from  deep depression  and low self-esteem.    Now she coaches budding entrepreneurs of all ages and walks of life to overcome their mental hurdles and achieve success.  I asked Norma how to overcome common mental hurdles for budding entrepreneurs; here is her advice.   What holds most people back from starting a business? If you are  holding yourself back  in business, you have probably come to believe some common myths about entrepreneurialism â€" specifically, what  characteristics, knowledge,  or experience  is  required to be a successful entrepreneur. We hear these myths  and we think we’re lacking. We don’t see what is  different  about us that is actually an advantage in business.   How can people take the leap into business with more confidence?   Start questioning the myths and mindsets you come across and discover what is true  for  you. Here are  three  common mythical mindsets about starting a business you might be familiar with, and what you can do to change them:   1 You  Can’t  Do It  Because   Don’t listen to anyone telling you that you can’t do it, for any reason  â€"  even  if that person is you! Lots of women successfully go back to business after  taking a break  for pregnancy or raising a family. Many people  start a business when they’re over 40 or 50. What do you know about your business that may be completely different from anybody else?   2 You  Don’t  Have the  Experience or  Abilities  Required.   One big mistake we make is  that  we don’t value the roles and experience we have in the “non-business” parts of our lives. What abilities does being a mother add to your business? What unique talents and abilities are you using in other areas of your life (hobbies, previous jobs, relationships) that would actually help you in business? If you regard yourself as a whole being who can bring all your resources to the table, you will realize you actually know a lot!   3 You  Need the  Right  Business  Model.   Many people buy into the point of view that the only way to be successful in business is to emulate what other entrepreneurs have  done.  But, when it’s time to make decisions, successful business people follow their own  instincts  and ask, “Will this work for me and my business?” It can be tempting to hold yourself back in business because you think you can’t do what others do. Ask yourself instead:  what can  I  do that others can’t?  Just like you, your business is unique  â€"  there  is no right way, so do what  works  for you.   Most of all, trust yourself and build your business in the way that best suits you: your skills, talents,  and personality. If you do that, the opinions of others will  be secondary  to what you know is possible for you and your business.   #businessdonedifferent  #joyofbusiness  #doityourway Join Dana Manciagli’s Job Search Master Class ® right now and immediately access the most comprehensive job search system currently available!

The other side of the hiring desk, pt 5 How often should job seekers follow up with recruiters -

The other side of the hiring desk, pt 5 How often should job seekers follow up with recruiters - So, youve read how NOT to follow up with a recruiter. But, what is the RIGHT amount of follow up? Here is another in my series of interviews conducted with my friend and colleague Stephanie A. Lloyd, a Talent Strategies Consultant and Owner of Calibre Search Group in Atlanta, Georgia. She is a National Careers  + Workplace Columnist for Examiner.com and also blogs at Radiant Veracity. You can also follow Stephanie on Twitter. How often should job seekers follow up with recruiters? As far as how and how often to follow upask the recruiter youre working with. I personally prefer a brief email once or twice a month. Remember, our job (and the way we get paid!) is to fill openings for our clients. If we have a job that you may be a fit for, well be on the phone with you immediately! During the interview process, how long it takes to get feedback or to move from one step to the next depends on the client and the situation. How urgent is the need? Who is an integral part of the process and is traveling/on vacation/otherwise unavailable? Unfortunately most interview processes do not move as quickly as anyone would like simply because there are so many people and variables involved. There is no need to call your recruiter daily when we have news, well call you! There is nothing we want more than to fill a position. We do what we can to keep the interview process moving forward, and at the same time we must walk a fine line as we do not want to irritate our clients. The candidates we enjoy working with the most understand and respect the process. Do you need help with your search? Follow this link to learn how I can help propel your job hunt!

Job Search The Best Way to Explain the Gaps in Your Resume

Job Search The Best Way to Explain the Gaps in Your Resume The 2017 job market is shaping up to be the hottest in years, with employment on track to hit pre-recession levels by the spring, according to Brookings Institution projections. That’s good news for anyone planning to get back into the workforce after a career hiatus. While résumé gaps don’t raise eyebrows the way they once did, returners still face an extra hurdle. Whether you took a break to raise a family, care for an elderly parent, or travel the globe, here’s how to make the time off work in your favor. Get Up to Speed While you might be eager to jump back into your old life, take time first to investigate how things have changed in your absenceâ€"and how you’ve changed too. Do you want to return to your previous field? If so, immerse yourself in books, magazines, and industry reports to get an up-to-date view. Online courses from sites like Coursera.org and Udemy.com are a low-cost or free way to bolster your skills. Certifications are another good résumé booster. Look for ways to add value to your industry while you’re brushing up: Write articles, consult for small businesses, or pursue strategic volunteer opportunities, such as offering to mentor young people in the field. “Throw something on your plate that shows you’ve been busy,” says Chicago-area career coach Lauren Milligan. Network Smarter Don’t just tap former bosses and peers for opportunities. “Look to folks who were in junior positions at old jobs,” says Carol Fishman Cohen, CEO of iRelaunch, a resource for people reentering the workforce. They’ve probably risen through the ranks and might be in a position to hire youâ€"or refer you to someone who can. For returning employees, the best connections can often be found outside your professional circle, notes Lindsay Witcher of outplacement firm RiseSmart. If you’ve been a stay-at-home mom, for example, tell your kids’ school administrators that you’re looking for opportunities. The same goes for meet-ups, mommy-and-me classes, and other social groups. Craft Your Story Tim Tolan of executive search firm Sanford Rose Associates suggests creating a “talk track” of clear success metrics from your past jobs. Include skills you picked up during the break. If you were helping a sick relative, maybe you created budgets and navigated the hospital system. Sprinkle those accomplishments into your story. Don’t linger on the hiatus. Instead, focus on what you learned that can benefit the employer and why this particular job ignited your passion. “That excitement will translate to the interview,” Milligan says. Explore a Trial Run Dozens of companies, including Ford, IBM, and Goldman Sachs, offer “returnships,” which are designed for people reentering the workforce after an extended break. These internship-style programs often lead to something more permanent: Between 50% and 90% of participants convert to full-time jobs, Cohen says. (Also read: These 23 Companies Are Actively Recruiting New Parents.) Get More Resources These organizations and websites can help you ease the transition back to work. IRelaunch: Connects returning employees with temporary and full-time jobs. OnlineCertificatePrograms.org: Provides directories of programs by discipline and school. Ellevate Network: Promotes networking among professional women. Occupational Outlook Handbook: Lists the most in-demand job titles across a range of industries.
